You might want to checkout the developement zone. There you can see which features/bugg fixes are planned, post tickets or consult the developement Wiki (it's a draft for the docbook documentation, you may find aditionnal tips).

Jsmtpd is developed using the Eclipse Java IDE.

The source control system used is Subversion, and the project manager is Trac

You can checkout the subversion repository at http://svn.jsmtpd.org

I'll add a read-only webdav acces on the server, so that you can check out the sources directly.

Meanwhile you can get a subversion snapshot at http://www.taldius.net/~jef/Jsmtpd-autobuild

Theses packages contains the sources, the manual and a compiled runable version of Jsmtpd
